Yoni

The concept of Yoni is deeply rooted in Hinduism and Tantric philosophy:

• Symbolic: Yoni is worshipped as the counterpart of the Liṅga, representing the union of feminine and masculine principles. Together they symbolize the totality of existence — Shakti (creative energy) and Śiva (pure consciousness).
• Scriptural presence: Texts such as the Devi Mahatmya and Tantric scriptures honor the Yoni as the seat of divine energy.
• Cultural use: In Sanskrit literature, yoni can mean womb, source, family, or origin, always linked to the idea of generation and foundation.

In my work, the Yoni is honored as the living expression of the feminine principle — both the physical source of human birth and the energetic portal to divine creation. It is not reduced to sexuality but embraced as the embodiment of mystery, receptivity, and sacred power. To revere the Yoni is to revere life itself, acknowledging the feminine as the origin of manifestation.
